Tricia’s singular mission as an acupuncturist is to bring relief and renewal to those in need.
Tricia discovered acupuncture during a time in her life when she was experiencing high levels of stress and anxiety. The profound effects of acupuncture on her mental, emotional and physical well-being inspired her to become an acupuncturist so that she could share this relief with others.
Tricia attended Tri-State College of Acupuncture in New York City, where she studied three styles of acupuncture: Traditional Chinese Medincie, Kiiko Matsumoto Style, and Acupuncture Physical Medicine, a meridian-based style of acupuncture that includes trigger point release when necessary.
In 2013, Tricia was blessed to study directly with the late and beloved Dr. Richard Tan, whose methods resonated deeply with her and led her to create a unique blending of styles that has proven to be effective for muscular and joint pain, headaches, digestive issues, cough, asthma, hormonal imbalances, seasonal allergies, menstrual irregularities, hot flashes, stress and anxiety, depression, fatigue, insomnia, and more.
In addition to acupuncture, Tricia loves to use the ancient healing modality of gua sha, a scraping method that reduces pain by increasing circulation and harmonizing the flow of the body. Tricia has a natural curiosity for a great many subjects and has been drawn to study essential oils, flower essences and Reiki, and will with incorporate these elements into treatment sessions when appropriate.
Tricia is board certified in acupuncture by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She is a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Michigan.
Tricia’s greatest passion is to help people move through difficult periods of pain and stagnation - whether physical, mental, or emotional - and into a state of movement and ease.
